Phlebotomist Full Time, 1st shift

Description:

Obtains specimens from correct patients by venous or capillary puncture. Receives specimens into the laboratory and verifies correct sample for requested tests. Assumes responsibility for recognizing situations that need to be referred to supervisory personnel and acts accordingly.

Qualifications:

High school graduate, certification or eligible with a board of registry for phlebotomy preferred, but not mandatory. Minimum of 6-12 months training in hospital techniques and procedures required reaching normal productivity.
