JOB SUMMARY:
Provides appropriate screenings, assessments, and treatment in accordance with OMH initiative Clinic Plus, which includes clinically-indicated services to children and adolescents. Maintains clinical records within all federal, state, and city regulations documenting all services provided.
| Duties: | ESSENTIAL TASKS:

1. Contributes to public education events, trainings and other promotional efforts to engage co-providers and families in child mental health screenings.
2. Completes, scores and follows up on screenings of children and adolescents, with appropriate statistical recording of the same.
3. Completes clinical assessments for children and adolescents referred from prevention agency, schools, foster care agencies, ACS, social service agencies, and the community.
4. Provides direct clinical services including individual, family, group, and crisis intervention as clinically indicated, including (but not limited to): outreach, assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, group and individual clinical psychoeducation and psychotherapy, skills development, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and referral.
5. Collaborates with management and staff of host and partner agencies, such as prevention programs and schools, to coordinate care and share resources effectively.
6. Works closely with other community providers, including (but not limited to): psychopharmacology, case management, probation and parole, emergency services, health services, and child protective services to insure that clients receive comprehensive, coordinated services and treatment.
7. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team. Participate in clinical case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
8. Documents service provision and maintain clinical records in a timely manner in accordance with ICL policies and guidelines, and state and local governmental entities, and CARF accreditation standards.
9. Complies with managed care requirements including consulting with care coordinators, obtaining treatment authorization, and providing necessary documentation.
10. Provides services in accordance with ethics, expertise and standards as described in the ICL policy on employee ethics and as defined by the applicable professional ethics-setting group (ACSW, e.g.).
11. Maintains the highest level of professional competence through attendance and participation in staff development training activities
12. Attends weekly individual clinical supervision with supervisor.
13. Participates in program development and refinement.
14. Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution of higher learning and current, valid license (LMSW or LCSW) issued by the New York State Education Department. Maintenance of current licensure is necessary for continued employment in this title.
