Description:

Provides basic, direct patient care to patients and functions as a member of the healthcare team, taking direction and guidance from Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. All care is provided in compliance with and according to department policies/procedures and standards of care. Participates in the collection of patient data with the healthcare team. Assumes responsibility for assigned non-patient tasks. Participates in unit Quality Improvement activities. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provides age specific treatment and care
