| Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care within an assigned unit in collaboration with the medical care. Provides patient focused care in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital. Maintains all standards of nursing care as established. Initiates and reinforces patient teaching and discharge planning. Actively involved in unit Quality Improvement initiatives. Assumes Charge Nurse role as assigned. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. |
Qualifications: |
| Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New York State licensure and current registration required. BLS certification. May begin entry level without experience. Completion of required unit based and hospital competencies. Satisfactory completion of Pharmacology test. CPR required. |
