| Develop and manage the growth of the business through effective team leadership, by communicating and motivating our Distributors. |
Duties: |
• Provide the appropriate leadership support for the benefit of the Distributors and the Retail Partners Operations team to sustain and develop Boar’s Head Brand awareness, positioning and growth
• Maintain competent and proactive account management.
• Recognize that the Distributor is “the Customer” and act respectfully and appropriately.
• Establish and consistently sustain a communication with each Distributor in order to develop credibility through motivation and support of their business efforts, needs and concerns
• Demonstrate the ability and objectivity to critique a Distributor on his/her personal abilities to understand execute and manage the established requirements.
• Have the skill to assess existing conditions; set accurate and decisive goals whether for Distributor, accounts or market; and demonstrate the ability and discipline to strategize, structure a plan, perform and measure the results.
• Facilitate the positive relationships between the Company, Distributor and Retailer to ensure a “win-win” situation for all parties
• Act as a catalyst between the Distributor, their Retail Partners Operations team and all disciplines of the Boar’s Head Company.
• Develop a true team spirit with all the Distributors by treating their combined success as your success
• Evaluate and measure the success achieved by each Distributor and their Retail Partners Operations team, by monitoring sales and profitability through the effective use of distribution channels and category management.
• Have a thorough knowledge of the business of distribution through all facets of sales, finance and operational systems
• Work with the Distributor to learn about their team and provide recommendations for further employee training and/or education to improve the Distributor’s business
• Work with the Distributor to provide a quarterly planner for each account including training, promotions, communication and other appropriate planning to be included in the Distributor’s Sales & Commitments Binders
• Demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of budgeting as it relates to Brand positioning and return on investment.
• Provide input to the Company relating to promotional planning, advertising, selling events, and budgeting for each market, as well as results analysis and reporting.
• Provide leadership and guidance in managing the Company Sales Policy with the Distributors.
• Accountable for providing and managing weekly, monthly and quarterly tonnage reports for each Distributor.
• Recognize the importance of Category Management by demonstrating the ability to serve as the Distributor’s mentor in attacking product mix deficiencies
• Accountable for reviewing the Category Management for each Distributor on a quarterly and annual basis

Qualifications: |
• Four year of college or knowledge equivalent.
• Five to seven years related experience in the food industry.
• Retail experience preferred.
